QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • How long is a class?
Each class will take roughly 2 hours to complete. There is no rush, however. I want to make sure you get all of your questions answered and you have enough hands-on practice time to leave the class feeling more confident with how to handle emergency situations.
  • What kind of space do I need?
A class can be held almost anywhere that is most convenient for you or your group. A comfortable place to sit while we talk is great and a little bit of floor space - or the ability to make a little floor space will be needed for the hands-on practice on the mannequins.
  • How do I get my certification card?
The certification cards are issued from the American Heart Association. At the time of the class I will get your name, email address, and phone number in order to register you with the AHA and purchase your specific type of card. You will get an email from ecards@heart.org - it kinda looks like spam - but its not! Don't delete it! When you open up the email there will be a hyperlink. Clicking on the hyperlink will take you to a third party website where you will need to create a user name and password to log in and verify the information used to register you. If everything looks correct, you can claim your card and it will stay in that same spot for the next two years. If the information entered is not correct, please reach out to me before claiming your card so I can correct it. After it expires, the card will disappear from the site and you can get it back by renewing your training with me.
  • When does my CPR certification expire?
Your certification is good for two full years. It will expire at the end of your renewal month regardless of the actual date.
  • What is a Friends and Family class?
Participants in this category of class will not receive a certification card from the AHA. All of the material is covered, but the cost is discounted because certification is not issued. This class helps make all the skills and knowledge more accessible to everyone.
  • How do you accept payment for a CPR class?
Individual participants can pay via Venmo, Zelle, cash, or check. At this time, I cannot accept credit card payment. If this is a corporate class offered by an employer, an invoice will be submitted to the desired department and a check can be issued to Whole Hearted Wellness or Ashley Epstein.
  • How do I set up a group class?
Group classes are so much fun and the hardest part will be finding a coordinating date and time. Contact me with what you are hoping to achieve in the class and we will talk through details of collecting payments from participants, finding the most convenient time, and any customized requests.
  • Do you have a location I could come to?
Yes. If you or your group would prefer to come to me, I have a couple of different options depending on size and location. Please reach out for more details!
  • How long do typical infusions take?
The majority of infusions will take about an hour from start to finish. This includes time for introductions, any needed paperwork, assessment of vitals and discussion of symptoms, a brief phone call with Dr. Garcia for initial visits, clean up and goodbyes. The actual bag of fluids will be infused in about 40 minutes. If there are any complications, infusions will be slowed down and time frames will adjust accordingly. Infusions of NAD will take a minimum of 90 minutes and most likely run for 2 hours. If time is an issue and there are no complications, a pressure bag can be applied to most infusions to shorten the appointment.
  • Can I move around during the infusion?
Short answer: YES! You will have a long length of tubing connected from your IV site to the bag of fluids infusing. The fluids will be hanging from an IV pole and the whole set up can be picked up and carried wherever your heart desires. It will be a little cumbersome and I am more than willing to assist if you would like! Most clients prefer to relax during their infusion but I want you to do to what you need to do!
  • How do you keep track of my infusions?
As my client, you will have a patient file that contains the details of each appointment you have. The context for your appointment, your vitals, and the exact recipe for the infusion and/or injection you request. If there are any reactions they and any interventions and outcomes are recorded as well. Anytime you book an appointment with me, I review your profile and history before I arrive so we can easily get on the same page with your needs during the infusion.
  • How do you accept payment?
Payment for infusions and injections can be venmo, cash, or credit card (Including HSA)
  • What is the cancellation policy?
I ask that you cancel with a 24hr notice. If something comes up please call or text so we can come to a solution for both parties.
  • What if IV placement fails?
Unfortunately, this can happen, but it is very rare. If I am unable to obtain IV access after 2 attempts, it will be up to you if you'd like me to try again. After 3 attempts, we will reassess and consider other interventions and modalities. Of course, you have the right to cancel the appointment at any time during difficult placement.
  • What are the age requirements for an IV infusion?
At this time, I can help anyone ages 12 and up.
  • What are the risks?
For the vast majority of people, there are very little risks. The most common reaction occurs when a client is at risk for getting low blood sugar when the fluids begin infusing. This will be mitigated before the infusion begins and is easily corrected by slowing down the infusion and eating or drinking if able. If you have any chronic heart or kidney conditions, we will consult with Dr. Garcia and determine the safest approach to take so you can receive the benefits of the infusion with the least amount of risk. *NAD infusions can cause a temporary feeling of chest tightness or pressure. This is why we ask you to allow for more time with the infusion because the slower we go, the lesser the feeling.
  • What benefits will I notice after the infusion?
Each infusion is crafted to achieve the specific benefits you are seeking. That can include but is not limited to: feeling deeply hydrated, having more energy, pain relief, nausea relief, better sleep, relaxation, less brain fog, better digestion, quicker muscle recovery, bolstered immune responses, glowing skin, stronger hair and nails, and improved metabolism.
  • Can more than one person get an infusion in an appointment?
Absolutely! I will come prepared to offer services for a few extra people, but it is great if I know in advance how many could be interested. Just let me know in a text, email, or phone call. Group infusions at corporate offices, bachelorette/bridal parties, bachelor/groom parties, mama's nights, athletic events, etc. Its always more fun with a friend!
  • How often can I receive an Infusion?
Infusions can be given as often as weekly depending on the type of fluids and dosages wanted.
